Google Workspace for Education

Google Workspace for Education has several services catering to UP’s faculty and students, all geared towards providing them with online learning and collaboration tools they can access from their computers or mobile devices. This includes UP Mail (Gmail), Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar, Chat and Meet, and Classroom.

Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 is an account that is available to all currently enrolled students, currently employed faculty, REPS, and administrative staff of the University. It offers services which include email and browser-accessible Office applications. To learn more about the University’s Microsoft 365 account and the available apps, click here.

Adobe Acrobat Pro

Adobe Acrobat is a collaborative PDF tool. It comes with features such as enhanced editing and form creation, the ability to send, track and receive electronic and digital signatures, and much more. To learn more, click here.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is a set of applications and services that gives users access to software for graphic design, photo editing, and other related tasks. To learn more, click here.

ArcGIS

ArcGIS gives you everything you need to manage and extract answers from imagery and remotely sensed data. It includes imagery tools and workflows for visualization and analysis, and access to the world's largest imagery collection. To learn more, click here.

NVivo

NVivo is a software used for qualitative and mixed-method research. It is used to organize, manage, and analyze qualitative data from multiple sources, such as Word, Excel, PDF, social media, and survey data. To learn more, click here.

SPSS

Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) is a software used for complex data analysis. It has four programs: statistics program, modeler program, text analytics for survey program, and visualization designer. These assist researchers in analyzing and presenting their data. Qualtrics

Qualtrics is an online survey tool with built-in dynamic reporting tools. To learn more, click here.

SLIDO

Slido is an easy to use Q&A and polling platform. It helps people to get the most out of meetings and events by bridging the gap between speakers and their audiences. To learn more, click here.

ZOOM

Zoom is a software with a cloud platform for audio and video conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars that can be used on desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices. Remote meetings can be held, enabling communication among faculty and students even outside the physical classroom. To learn more, click here.

Google Workspace for Education (UP Mail)

To access your Google Workspace, you must have your UP Mail (@up.edu.ph) account.

To know what applications are available for UP users in the Google Workspace, you can see the list here.

If you do not have your UP Mail account yet, contact the local IT office of your campus/CU. Their contact details are listed below. They will be the ones that will provide you with your UP Mail.

Microsoft 365

To access your Microsoft 365 (@outlook.up.edu.ph), you must first have your UP Mail (@up.edu.ph) account. Kindly see the steps above regarding getting a UP Mail account.

If you do not have your Microsoft 365 account yet, please file a support request at the UP System ICT Support at https://ictsupport.up.edu.ph/

Adobe Acrobat Pro

To access Adobe Acrobat, you are to click the link that you have received through the email invite from Adobe. Then you may log in using your UP Mail account.

If after doing the aforementioned steps you are still not able to access the software, you can contact your CU Person-in-Charge (PIC) for access to the software, as listed below (Please take note that only SELECTED UP faculty and staff will have access to Adobe Acrobat):

To check if you have been granted access to the software, you should have received an email invite from your CU PIC. Kindly contact your Constituent University’s Person-in-Charge (listed in the question "If I cannot access Adobe Acrobat, what should I do?" above) to inquire if you are eligible for access.

Adobe Creative Cloud

To access Adobe Creative Cloud, you are to click the link that you have received through the email invite from Adobe. Then you may log in using your UP Mail account.

If after doing the aforementioned steps you are still not able to access the software, you can contact your CU Person-in-Charge (PIC) for access to the software, as listed below (Please take note that only SELECTED UP faculty and staff will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud):

To check if you have been granted access to the software, you should have received an email invite from your CU PIC. Kindly contact your Constituent University’s Person-in-Charge (listed in the question "If I cannot access Adobe Creative Cloud, what should I do?" above) to inquire if you are eligible for access.

ArcGIS

To access ArcGIS, you should have received an email invite from your Constituent University’s Person-in-Charge (PIC).

For ArcGIS Online, once you have received the email invite for the software, you may then use your UP Mail account to log in. To aid you in this, see the steps here:

How to Log In to ArcGIS Online

For the desktop application of ArcGIS, you will need to download and install the application, and then use your UP Mail account to log in. To aid you in this, you may see the steps here:

If after doing the aforementioned steps you are still not able to access the software, you can contact your CU Person-in-Charge (PIC) for access to ArcGIS, as listed below:

To check if you have been granted access to the software, you should have received an email invite from your CU PIC. Kindly contact your Constituent University’s Person-in-Charge (listed in the question "If I cannot access ArcGIS, what should I do?" above) to inquire if you are eligible for access.

Nvivo

To access Nvivo, you are to download and install the Nvivo software, and use the license key that has been provided to you by your Constituent University Person-in-Charge (PIC). To aid you in this, kindly see this link: Downloading Nvivo.

If after doing the aforementioned steps you are still not able to access the software, you can contact your CU Person-in-Charge (PIC) for access to the software, as listed below (Please take note that only SELECTED UP faculty and staff will have access to Nvivo):

To check if you have been granted access to the software, you should have received the license key from your CU PIC. If you have not received a license key, kindly contact your Person-in-Charge (listed in the question "If I cannot access Nvivo, what should I do?" above) to inquire if you are eligible for access.

SPSS

To access SPSS, you are to download and install the SPSS software, and input the authorization code that has been provided to you by your Constituent University Person-in-Charge (PIC). To aid you in this, kindly see this link: Downloading SPSS.

If after doing the aforementioned steps you are still not able to access the software, you can contact your CU Person-in-Charge (PIC) for access to the software, as listed below (Please take note that only SELECTED UP faculty and staff will have access to SPSS):

To check if you have been granted access to the software, you should have received the authorization code from your CU PIC. If you have not received a code, kindly contact your Person-in-Charge (listed in the question "If I cannot access SPSS, what should I do?" above) to inquire if you are eligible for access.

SLIDO

If you are an official UP faculty, you will already be granted access to the software. Kindly use your UP Mail to log in to Slido. To aid you in this, see the steps here: How to Log In to Slido.

If after attempting to log in you are still unable to access the software, contact your local CU IT Office/Center, to inquire if your UP Mail account is properly and officially categorized as an active UP Faculty. Your local CU IT Office/Center's contact details can be found here: https://itdc.up.edu.ph/contact-us#cu-it-support

Once your CU IT Office confirms that your UP Mail account has been properly categorized as faculty, you may then request for access to Slido by contacting the UP System ICT Support at https://ictsupport.up.edu.ph/.

Qualtrics

If you are an official UP student, faculty, or staff, you will already be granted access to the software. Kindly use your UP Mail to log in to Qualtrics. To aid you in this, see the steps here: How to Log In to Qualtrics

If after attempting to log in you are still unable to access the software, you can contact your local CU IT Office/Center. Your local CU IT Office/Center's contact details can be found here: https://itdc.up.edu.ph/contact-us#cu-it-support

Once your CU IT Office confirms that your UP Mail account has been properly categorized, you may then request for access to Qualtrics from them.

MATLAB

If you are an official UP student, faculty, or staff, you will already be granted access to the software. Kindly use your UP Mail to log in to MATLAB. For more information about MATLAB, you can go to this link: MATLAB Information and Support.

Zoom

If after doing the aforementioned steps you are still not able to access Zoom, you can make your request and file a ticket at the UP System ICT Support at https://ictsupport.up.edu.ph/

Please take note of who can have Licensed Zoom for their UP Mail accounts:

  • UP Faculty and REPS are automatically provisioned with licensed Zoom accounts.
  • UP Administrative Staff and Students can request for licensed Zoom accounts by filing a ticket at the UP System ICT Support at https://ictsupport.up.edu.ph/
