The University of the Philippines provides access to a range of video conferencing platforms which are connected to UP Mail (@up.edu.ph) and UP's Microsoft 365 (@outlook.up.edu.ph) accounts. These include the following:
A. Google Meet
B. MS Teams
C. Webex
Google Meet is a video conferencing service developed by Google. It is one of two apps that replaced Google Hangouts, the other being Google Chat. It is included in the University's Google Workspace using your UP Mail (@up.edu.ph) account.
To use UP's Google Meet, you must first log in to your UP Mail (@up.edu.ph) and not your personal Gmail. If you do not have a UP Mail account, please click here to know how to request for one.

Start or join a Google Meet meeting (Please ensure that you are logged in to your UP MAIL account, not your personal Gmail.)
For UP Google Workspace, a user can host a meeting for up to 24 hours.
For UP Google Workspace users, the maximum number of participants one can have in a Google Meet is 500.
Microsoft Teams Meeting is a video conferencing tool available in UP's Microsoft 365 using your Microsoft 365 account (@outlook.up.edu.ph). Teams meetings include video and audio conferencing, screen sharing, meeting chat, digital whiteboards, and more.

You should first sign in to MS Teams with your UP Microsoft 365 account (@outlook.up.edu.ph).

The meeting duration limit for UP users in MS Teams is up to 24 hours.
The maximum number of attendees in MS Teams for UP users is 300.
Webex is a video conferencing tool also available for the University. It also has capabilities for screen sharing, meeting chat, and whiteboards, among others.
To use Webex, you must sign in using your UP Mail account (@up.edu.ph) account. If you do not have a UP Mail account, click here to see the instructions on how you can request for one.
