The University of the Philippines Information Technology Development Center (ITDC) recently launched the UP System Alumni Email Registration, an online platform developed for the UP System Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).
Launched in June 2021, the UP System Alumni Email Registration serves as an online platform to facilitate the submission and processing of requests of UP alumni for alumni email accounts. The UP Alumni Email (@alum.up.edu.ph) is a service created only for bona fide UP alumni, as verified by the OAR. While only one email account per alumnus/alumna is allowed, a UP alumni email account may not be issued to anyone other than the alumnus/alumna requesting the service.
Applying for a UP alumni email account can bring about several benefits. This email service can primarily be used to communicate with the OAR and University offices/units for any alumni and University-related matters. It can also be used to receive alumni updates, online newsletters, and other information relevant to the events and programs of the OAR and the University. Moreover, the information submitted by UP alumni through this online platform can also be used to update UP alumni records with the OAR through its Alumni Profile Updating (APU) System (https://apu.up.edu.ph/).
