Face-to-Face Training for UP Staff

To help strengthen the technical capabilities of the UP staff, a series of in-person/Face to Face trainings will be offered by the Office of the Vice President for Development - Information Technology Development Center (OVPD-ITDC). Below, you will find the details of the training offered by OVPD-ITDC:

A. Training Descriptions

This will present how to use the Google Workplace for Education and Microsoft 365's Business Intelligence tools, Big Data Analytics, and Visualization tools with Looker Studio and Power BI, respectively.

This training specifically designed for designated UIS supplier managers will cover supplier registration, recording and maintenance of supplier information (e.g. company profile, tax information), and tagging of inactive or delinquent suppliers.

This covers a brief introduction to UIS that includes HRIS modules, integration, and prerequisites to utilize each function.

This will present a new and efficient way for SAIS users to easily navigate to the information most important to them. This will be an overview of sample pages delivered in new SAIS and using new navigation features.

This will discuss how to make use of Low-Code/No-Code Transactional Application Development in Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 using Spreadsheets and Tables in AppSheet and List, respectively.

This will discuss how to fully utilize the Calendar features of Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 for their Events Management.

This course is intended for UP administrative staff who are responsible for the preparation of billing statements. It will cover prerequisites, billing process, and monitoring of bill status.

This will present how to utilize task managements, assignments, and fulfillments of tasks in Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365, with Task and Planner, respectively.

B. Requirements/Reminders for Attending an In-Person Training

For those interested in joining the In-Peron Trainings, please take note of the following:

  1. Trainings with Hands-on Workshop will be BYOD (bring your own devices).
  2. Only twenty (20) slots for F2F are currently available per topic/course. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis based on the registration form. The ITDC Training Team will get in touch with you once you have registered.

D. Issuance of Certificates

Certificates of attendance will be available to UP Staff who attended the trainings and who satisfy the following requirements:

1) Attended the training in-person/F2F; and
2) Accomplished the evaluation form AFTER the training (please refer to SECTION E for the Evaluation Form).

E. Evaluation Form

If you have satisfied the training requirements, kindly fill out the evaluation form in this link: https://ems.up.edu.ph/. This evaluation form must be accomplished AFTER attending your chosen in-person training.
