ITDC Hosts Free Webinar on IT Project Management Fundamentals

The UP ITDC successfully held a free webinar titled Introduction to IT Project Management on 6 August 2025 via Zoom. The session aimed to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical tools for managing IT projects effectively.

Renowned project management consultant Antonette “Toni” M. Tirona-Torres served as the resource speaker. With over 20 years of experience in leading complex ICT and development initiatives across the Philippines, Tirona-Torres brings a wealth of expertise in navigating the full project life cycle—from strategic planning and budgeting to implementation and evaluation—within both national and international frameworks.

During the webinar, Tirona-Torres introduced key project management principles and demonstrated how these can be applied to everyday tasks. She also explored essential tools and techniques, shared real-world IT project case studies, and discussed portfolio management and various project management frameworks.

The event attracted 816 participants from diverse institutions, including Mapua Malayan Digital College, City of Malabon University, University of Antique, Philippine National Oil Company, Department of Transportation, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
